1.Domestic Box-type Substation
Compared to American box-type substation, the domestic box-type substation increases the grounding switch and lightning arresters. The mechanical interlock is installed between the grounding switch and the main switch, which can guarantee the absolute safety of the repair personnel when conducting the maintenance to the box type substation. One fuse is used in each phase of the domestic box-type substation and replaces two fuses of American box-type substation for protection. The main characteristic is that, when the fuse from any phase is melted, it will ensure the load switch tripping and cut off the power, and only after this fuse is replaced, the main switch can be closed, for which, the American box-type substation does not have. China-made box-type substation are generally independent structure for each unit, with transformer room, high-voltage switch room, low-voltage switch room set up respectively, which are connected into a complete power supply system by the wires.
