GE box substation

The difference between GE box substation and domestic combined box substation lies in that it is developed on the basis of transformer. GE box-type substation simplifies the structure of transformer core, high voltage load switch, fuse and other equipment and puts them into the same oil injection iron box. Small size, compact structure, the area of the same capacity of the box substation only about 1/3. Fully sealed, fully insulated structure, no insulation distance, reliable to ensure personal safety. The high-voltage cable is connected to the casing with good insulation performance, and the casing is connected with the elbow-type cable plug to seal the live part in the insulation body. There are some wall hangings welded on the housing of the box, which are used to fix the abut-type insulation sleeve joint. When the elbow-type cable plug is unplugged, it can be inserted into the abut-type sleeve joint.

European and American box substation

Box substations in Europe and America can be divided into: assembled substations, integrated substations and one type substations.

The high-voltage side of American type transformer box is protected by fuse, and the low-voltage side is protected by plastic case automatic air circuit breaker, which is the same as the protection mode of 10kV transformer distribution in China. Hv fuses protect internal faults of transformers and automatic air circuit breakers protect overcurrent, short circuit and undervoltage faults of low-voltage side lines. The disadvantages of American box variation. Because the load switch immersed in oil, oil is arc carbonization, decomposition, produce acetylene and other harmful gases, resulting in performance decline, had an accident. Obvious disconnection point cannot be seen and maintenance is inconvenient. Because the American low-voltage protection and measurement mode is different from China, the American box itself does not carry low-voltage protection and measurement. In order to meet the needs of domestic users, low-voltage distribution cabinets are installed on the low-voltage side of domestic box transformer. As the box type transformer is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, it will affect the heat dissipation of the molded case circuit breaker, making the circuit breaker unable to open the load and short circuit current normally, and easy to cause high voltage side fault.
