1, with the resistance of the multimeter to check the winding on and off, eliminate the open circuit fault.

If each winding is a path, the conductor in the winding can be basically judged to be on.

2, the input low voltage method, simple to eliminate the winding short circuit fault.

Find an ac low-voltage (6V or 12V) isolating transformer and a 1A fuse (depending on the power size of the transformer to be tested, select the current value of the fuse), connect the output voltage of the isolating transformer through the fuse to the input windings of the transformer to be tested, and then connect the power supply.

A, if the insurance immediately burned down, it can be concluded that the transformer winding internal short circuit fault ---- -- damage, can not be used.

B. if the insurance is normal, wait for 10 minutes and observe the temperature rise of the transformer. The temperature rises quickly and it feels very hot to the hand. It can be judged that the primary winding may have inter-turn short-circuit phenomenon ---- -damaged and cannot be used.

C, if the insurance is normal, the temperature rise is not big, the no-load voltage of the secondary winding can be measured. The measured value does not conform to the transformer ratio, indicating that the secondary windings may be damaged and cannot be used.

D, if the insurance is normal, the temperature rise is not big, measure the no-load voltage value of the secondary winding in line with the transformer ratio, that the secondary winding is good ---- -- can be used.
