The lower the air permeability, the higher the electric field intensity. It must be pointed out that small air permeability does not mean poor impregnation. The varieties of insulating paper and board are capacitor paper, cable paper, telephone paper, winding paper, impregnated paper, insulating board and steel paper (board and pipe). The steel paper is treated with zinc chloride and cannot be used in high pressure oil immersed transformer. The adhesive paper plate (or tube) contains impurities such as free phenol and should not be used in high voltage transformers. Used in high voltage power transformers mainly include cable paper, telephone paper, insulating board and tube.

 

3. Oiled paper insulation

 

The combination of oil and paper is very good.
